Depression

Includes feelings of sadness, despair, hopelessness and inadequacy. These thoughts are sometimes accompanied with self-harm or thoughts of suicide. Some signs include loss of interest in pleasurable activities, change in eating and/or sleeping habits, lack of energy and inability to concentrate. In children, this could be shown through acts of aggression.

Anxiety

Described as a nervous disorder characterized by a state of excessive uneasiness and apprehension, typically with compulsive behavior or panic attacks. Can be a general feeling of worry or more focused on a specific idea or event.

Trauma

Trauma is an emotional response to a terrible and frightening event where a person or their loved ones life was threatened or perceived to be in danger.  Long term reactions include unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships and even physical symptoms like headaches or nausea.

Marital and Family Conflicts

Marital and family conflicts including helping with communication, trust, dealing with separation/divorce, and custody transitions

Childhood Disorders

Childhood/adolescent disorders which include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, difficulty with bonding and attachment, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and self-harm.
